Ira L. Cohen, CEO
Ira has more than 25 years' experience in mortgage banking. Previously, Mr. Cohen served as Executive Vice President of ARCS mortgage, Inc., a Bank of New York Company, where he skillfully guided that company's corporate growth and branch expansion.
During Mr. Cohen's long and successful tenure at ARCS, the company became the nation's 27th largest mortgage banking firm, servicing a $10 billion portfolio. Cohen is a graduate of Brandeis University with a degree in political science, and attended the Executive Management Program of the UCLA Grad School of Mgmt.
Allen Satenberg, President
Allen has been a mortgage banker for over 25 years. Before joining The Mortgage House, Mr. Satenberg was Executive Vice President of Medallion Mortgage, where he oversaw unparalleled production in the firm's Southern California and Nevada regions, as well as secondary marketing operations for the entire company.
Previously, Mr. Satenberg served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for International Mortgage Company, the mortgage subsidiary of giant home builder Kaufman and Broad. Mr. Satenberg is a CPA and a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University, with a degree in Accounting.
Roxanne Carr, Division President and Corporate Sr Vice President Celebrating 30 years in SLO County
Roxanne has more than 35 years as a Mortgage Banking professional. Before turning her talents and energies to The Mortgage House, Ms. Carr was the West Coast Regional Vice President for ARCS Mortgage, Inc, one of the nation's leading mortgage bankers. Under her leadership, ARCS was recognized as the #1 mortgage lender in San Luis Obispo County and the company reigned as one of the nation’s leading lenders.
She was recently elected to the Board of Directors for the Cuesta College Foundation and is also a Director for the UCSB San Luis Obispo County Economic Forecast, Mission Community Bank, Cuesta Title Company, and the Home Builders Association of the Central Coast. She truly believes in giving back to her community and is currently serving as President of the Rotary Club of San Luis Obispo, the largest Rotary club in the county. She previously served several years on the United Way Board, the SLO Chamber of Commerce, was top vote-getter in CASA’s (Court Appointed Special Advocate) Kiss the Pig Contest in 1995, and is actively involved with many other worthy organizations, such as the Women’s Shelter, the Prado Homeless Shelter, SLO Mozart Festival and the SLO Symphony. Roxanne also currently serves on advisory boards for the SLO County Housing Trust Fund and the Workforce Housing Coalition.
